What attaining this level means:
 

  • Proves that you can speak and write English well enough to work or study in an English-speaking environment

  • Equivalent to B2 / Upper Intermediate level according to the Common European Framework

Who should take it:

  • Students and adults who have acquired English skills of F.3 - F.6 level

  • For those who want to work in an English-speaking business, live in an English-speaking country or study a foundation-level or pre-university course taught in English

Scope of the exam:

  • Write short reports and emails

  • Explain an idea or have a detailed discussion in English

  • Understand general English on TV an in newspapers

​

The exam contains:

  • Reading and Use of English (1 hr 15 mins | 40% of total score)

  • Writing (1 hr 20 mins | 20% of total score)

  • Listening (40 mins | 20% of total score)

  • Speaking (14 mins per pair of candidates | 20% of total score)
